OELLEN Networks

Youth Initiatives Providers

OELLEN established the YIP Network in 2016 to facilitate collaboration between agencies contracted to deliver government initiatives providing support for young people who are not in education, training or full time employment and who left school without year 12.

Vocational Learning Group

OELLEN established the Vocational Learning Network in 2004 to provide a platform for teachers of applied learning to share ideas and to access professional development aimed to enhance the quality of vocational education. In 2017, an on-line network was added to enable ongoing interaction and sharing of resources.

OELLEN received the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority 2014 VCAL Chair’s Award for outstanding achievement.

Outer Eastern Trade Training Alliance

The Outer Eastern Trade Training Alliance (OETTA) brings together seven Trade Training Centres across Knox, Maroondah and the Yarra Ranges. Through collaboration, the OETTA group strives to improve the quality and consistency of VET offerings in the region, including Carpentry, Horticulture, Plumbing, Hospitality, Engineering, Automotive, Electro-technology and I.T. OETTA’s highly specialised, industry-standard equipment and learning spaces provide cutting edge training for students. The OETTA group is comprised of Ringwood Training, Ranges TEC (Lilydale), Yarra Valley Polytechnic (Healesville High School, Upper Yarra Secondary College, Worawa Aboriginal College), KIOSC (Swinburne Wantirna), Wurundjeri Trade Training Centre (Aquinas College, Ringwood), St. Joseph’s College (The Carroll Centre, Ferntree Gully) and Hills Hospitality Trade Training (Belgrave Heights Christian School). The Outer Eastern LLEN (OELLEN) works with OETTA to assist in facilitating school and industry connections for the group.

OELLEN is pleased to provide the 2019 OETTA Handbook, which offers a snapshot of each centre and captures the OETTA course offerings for 2019
